5/3: Forrestal Preserve Loop at Forrestal Nature Preserve w/ Professor Jason Sexton

Join us for a 3-mile hike through the beautiful Forrestal Preserve Loop in Palos Verdes! This loop trail offers stunning views of the Pacific Ocean and Inspiration Point with wildflowers blooming all alongside the trail. The hike is moderately challenging with around 750 feet of elevation gain, but nothing too intense. However, there isn’t much shade, so be sure to pack sunscreen!

Joining us on the trail will be Professor Jason Sexton, who teaches in the department of Sociology as well as IOES (Institute of Environmental Sciences). Professor Sexton’s research focuses closely on California and its culture, the prison and its governance structures, contemporary religion/theology, and on convergent points where these subjects intersect.
