5/03: Santa Paula Canyon Trail w/ Professor Elsa Ordway

Join us for a beautiful 7.2 mile hike through the hills of Ventura County! This out-and-back trail is full of California's natural wonders: rolling hills, swimming holes, and a spectacular 25-feet waterfall. The hike is moderately challenging with some elevation gain. We are very excited and hope we get to spend a beautiful Saturday on the trail with you!

Joining us is the amazing Professor Elsa Ordway, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology! Professor Ordway’s research focuses on social and ecological changes of forest ecosystems in the face of climate change and the growing demand for food, fuel, and resources to support the world’s population. Professor Ordway’s team uses field observations, socioeconomic analyses, and other techniques to identify patterns across ecosystems. We are so excited to be exploring this amazing corner of California with Professor Ordway!
